We are residents of Batu Arang and Rawang who are against the proposed incinerator project, known as the Sultan Idris Shah (SIS) Waste-to-Energy Green Energy Plant, located on Lot 3847 Mukim Rawang, Gombak District in the state of Selangor. Our opposition to the project is based on various concerns, including safety, health, social, and environmental risks. We do not believe that the suggested mass incineration is a green, carbon-reducing, or sustainable waste management solution. Therefore, we are urging the authorities to consider alternative waste management solutions that are both environmentally friendly and carbon neutral. Some of these solutions include mandatory waste segregation at the source, implementing a mass 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) program, utilizing an Anaerobic Digestor, and establishing a Material Recovery Facility. We seek your assistance and active participation to ensure the success of our campaign.

We opposed waste incinerator because it may affects all Malaysian and not only residents of Rawang.
1. The building cost billions of ringgit that may only used for 10-13 years.
2. The billions of ringgits to maintain yearly.
3. It is not the cheapest way to provide energy.
4. Not helping on global warming.
5. The poison gas/solid waste it will produced that causes health issues. This is due to the our waste is not properly separated before incinerate. Especially plastics.
Note: Hi-tech country like Japan and Europeans country strongly promote waste separation before incinerate. Some country even export their plastics to other country like us.
