Water Contaminants
Water may reasonably be expected to contain at least small amounts of some contaminants. The presence of contaminants does not necessarily indicate that water poses a health risk. EPA sets standards for approximately 90 contaminants in drinking water. EPA's standards, along with each contaminant's likely source and health effects, are available at www.epa.gov/safewater/mcl.html. Contaminants can be catagorize as below.
Microbes ~Radionuclides ~Inorganic ~Volatile Organics ~Synthetic Organics ~Disinfectants ~Disinfection Byproducts ~MTBE
SYABAS is doing a good job by using Chlorine to prevent Microbes, Bacteria, Viruses and Parasites to grow. Hence, we do not recommend the removal of chlorine (with Carbon) from our P.O.E. outdoor filters because with Chlorine, no microbes can grow in our house pipes & water tanks. However, Chlorine is only recommended to be removed before consumption (drinking/cooking) with indoor P.O.U.
